I am a Messenger.
I am the one who does not speak.
The runes carved into my wings by the tip of my own feather.
The veins soaked so deep, I cannot move my wings by my will.
My wings will slowly decay,
They will stiffen through time,
They will be covered by dust,
But my veins will remain.
My spine will crumble away,
my bones split apart,
my perfume will explode,
beckoning you to come close.
Yet, my veins will be protected.
If I were to be burnt alive,
transforming into ashes,
the dust that slip away from your fingers,
My incandescent veins will never be forgotten.
If you wish to embrace my guidance,
Hold them close.
Never let go of me,
For I cannot exist without your touch.

Such a curious creature you are.
Your misty eyes glowing with mischief.
Your thin, deceitful smile hiding your innocence.

Such loud thoughts whirling in your head.
The keen excitement dance upon your delicate whiskers.
Do you feel the speck of dust tickling your ears?

One voice cries so pitifully that it could break a maiden’s heart.
Another voice murmurs softly, singing songs of jubilation.
A voice spits out sibilant words that ignite malevolence.

What do you dream of as you sleep?
Fish swimming beneath the crystalline ice of a frozen pond?
Prowling through the thick jungle, to prove your ancestors’ glory?

Though your unpredictable nature confuses me,
It’s that trait that outshines your beauty and grace.
